Thursina IIBS Welcomes a New Generation of Future Leaders

Thursina International Islamic Boarding School (IIBS) warmly welcomed hundreds of new students for the 2026/2027 Academic Year through its "Welcoming Students: Building Strong Partnerships for Student Success" program. Held separately at the male and female campuses, the event marked the beginning of a collaborative partnership between the school and parents to support students' holistic development, character formation, and global outlook.

The parents' orientation for the female campus took place at Harvard Hall on Saturday, July 18, 2026, welcoming the families of 221 new students, comprising 135 Junior High School (JHS) students and 86 Senior High School (SHS) students. Meanwhile, the male campus hosted its orientation at TICH Leiden on Sunday, July 19, 2026, for the parents of 277 new students, including 150 JHS and 127 SHS students.

The event was attended by the Chairman of Thursina IIBS, Ustaz Dr. H. Muhammad Ali Wahyudi; the CEO of Thursina IIBS, Ustaz Nur Abidin, Ed.D.; the Senior Advisor; and members of the executive leadership team. Throughout the orientation, parents were introduced to the school's educational system, character development framework, and international programs that distinguish Thursina IIBS.

In his welcoming remarks, CEO Ustaz Nur Abidin, Ed.D., emphasized that student success can only be achieved through a strong partnership between the school and parents.

"We believe that meaningful education is built on a close partnership between parents and the boarding school. At Thursina, our mission extends beyond academic excellence. We are committed to nurturing students' character through our RECODING Core Values, enabling them to become individuals of integrity, globally competitive, and capable of making meaningful contributions to society," he said.

Chief of Education, Ustaz Muhammad Rajab, M.Pd.I., then presented the school's curriculum, learning system, and educational ecosystem, which integrates the Indonesian National Curriculum, Cambridge Curriculum, and Al-Azhar Curriculum. Meanwhile, Chief of the Thursina International Office (TIO), Ustaz Qoirul Mansur Darojat, M.Pd., introduced a range of international opportunities, including the Overseas Program, International Language Camp, University Enrollment Program, and the International Ramadan Da'wah Safari. These initiatives are designed to broaden students' global perspectives and enrich their international experiences.

Representing the parents, Ustaz Hilman Fauzi, S.E.I., M.Si., M.ESy., expressed his appreciation for Thursina's commitment to fostering transparent and meaningful communication with families.

"As parents, we feel reassured because everything at Thursina is communicated clearly and transparently. This open communication, combined with a shared educational vision, gives us confidence that our children are being prepared to become individuals of strong character, academic excellence, and positive contributors to the Muslim community and society at large," said the Islamic preacher from Garut, West Java.

More than a welcoming event, the orientation reflected Thursina's RECODING Value of Caring. This commitment is demonstrated through the school's comprehensive support for every student's growth, along with its ongoing and close communication with parents throughout their educational journey.

Through initiatives like this, Thursina IIBS continues to strengthen its commitment to delivering an internationally oriented education that not only prepares students for academic success but also develops graduates who are morally excellent, internationally minded, inspiring leaders, and ready to make meaningful contributions to the Muslim community and the global society.
