Thursina International Islamic Boarding School (IIBS) continues to strengthen its security governance as part of its commitment to providing a safe, secure, and supportive learning environment. This commitment was demonstrated through the Security Code of Ethics Reorientation and Security Synergy Program, held on Thursday, July 9, 2026, at the Sorbonne Meeting Room.
The event was attended by Thursina IIBS Senior Advisor Ustaz Ir. Sentot E. Parijatno, M.T.; Chairman Ustaz Dr. H. Muhammad Ali Wahyudi; CEO Ustaz Nur Abidin, Ed.D.; Chief of Management Information Technology (MIT) Ustaz A. Ali Syihabuddin, S.Si., M.Pd., Gr.; Chief of Human Capital Management Ustazah Dian Asmi Setoningsih, M.Pd.; and Chief of the Secretarial Office Ustaz Mohamat Taufik, M.Ed.
Attended by all members of Thursina IIBS's security team, the program served as a platform to reaffirm the institution's security code of ethics while introducing key organizational policies. The objective was to ensure that every security officer shared a common understanding of the school's values, professional standards, workplace culture, and long-term institutional vision.
During the orientation, participants were introduced to the importance of conducting comprehensive analyses of Threats, Disturbances, Obstacles, and Challenges (AGHT) that may arise from both internal and external factors. This analytical approach was highlighted as an essential competency for modern security personnel, enabling them to identify potential risks at an early stage and take preventive action before issues escalate.
Chief of Management Information Technology (MIT), Ustaz A. Ali Syihabuddin, S.Si., M.Pd., Gr., emphasized that the role of security personnel has evolved beyond physical protection and now requires strong analytical thinking and adaptability.
"Today's security officers must become smart security professionals who are able to assess situations comprehensively. The ability to analyze threats, disturbances, obstacles, and challenges is essential for implementing effective preventive measures. By doing so, our security team can safeguard the Thursina environment not only from physical security risks but also from potential issues such as bullying, misconduct, and other matters affecting the safety and well-being of our school community," he said.
CEO Ustaz Nur Abidin, Ed.D. added that a professional security team is one of the key pillars of a strong organizational culture.
"Security is everyone's responsibility, but our security personnel are on the front line in ensuring that every aspect of the educational process takes place in a safe and conducive environment. Therefore, strengthening teamwork, integrity, and commitment to our code of ethics is essential so that we can continue providing the highest standard of service to the foundation and all stakeholders," he explained.
The program also reflected Thursina IIBS's RECODING Value of Open-Minded by encouraging participants to remain responsive to emerging security challenges, embrace new perspectives, and continuously develop their professional competencies through collaboration and lifelong learning.
Through this ongoing initiative, Thursina IIBS seeks to foster stronger collaboration among its security personnel while reinforcing their vital role in maintaining a safe, welcoming, and supportive educational environment that reflects the school's commitment to Holistic & Balanced Education.
