Thursina International Islamic Boarding School (IIBS) continues to foster a culture of professionalism through its Performance Appraisal and Career Development Report, organized by the Human Capital Management (HCM) Division on Friday, July 10, 2026. As part of the 2026/2027 Employee Development Program, the initiative is designed to establish an objective performance evaluation system while supporting the long-term career development of its human resources.
The program involved all faculty and staff members of Thursina IIBS and served as a strategic platform for communicating annual performance results, providing constructive feedback, and aligning individual professional development with the institution's long-term goals.
In addition to the presentation delivered by the HCM team, each employee received a personalized annual performance review from the Chief of their respective division. This one-on-one approach was intended to provide more meaningful guidance and support for individual growth.
Through this process, Thursina IIBS goes beyond assessing performance outcomes. The institution also identifies individual strengths and potential, recognizes each employee's contributions, and maps out career development opportunities based on both individual competencies and organizational needs.
Chief of Human Capital Management, Ustazah Dian Asmi Setoningsih, M.Pd., explained that performance evaluation should be viewed as a continuous development process rather than merely an assessment tool.
"Performance appraisal is a shared opportunity for reflection between the institution and each member of our team. Through an objective evaluation process, we aim to provide constructive feedback, recognize individual achievements, and identify opportunities for career development that align with Thursina's strategic direction. In this way, every employee is encouraged to continue growing, strengthen their professional competencies, and make meaningful contributions to the institution," she said.
The evaluation process also strengthened communication between division leaders and their team members. By discussing the performance reports directly with each employee, Chiefs were able to engage in open conversations about achievements, challenges, professional development goals, and competency-building plans for the upcoming academic year.
More than an administrative process, the program reflects Thursina's RECODING Value of Open-Minded. Employees are encouraged to embrace feedback, welcome new perspectives, and view evaluation as an opportunity for continuous learning and self-improvement. Through a culture of reflection and constructive dialogue, every individual is empowered to broaden their perspective, adapt to change, and continuously enhance both their performance and contribution to the institution.
Through the Performance Appraisal and Career Development Report, Thursina IIBS reaffirms its commitment to building a high-performing organization by recognizing people development as a long-term investment. With a structured, growth-oriented evaluation system, the school is committed to nurturing professional, ethical, and highly capable educators and staff who are prepared to advance the mission of internationally recognized Islamic education.
