Thursina International Islamic Boarding School (IIBS) once again provided a space for students from kindergarten to junior high school to develop their talents through Ludifest 2026. Initiated by the Thursina Student Association (TSA) Female, the event was held on Saturday, August 8, 2026, under the theme The Magic of Fantasy Kingdom.
Around 92 participants from various schools across Java and Bali took part in the event, which was held in several areas of the Thursina IIBS Female Campus, including Recoding Park, Andalusia, Hall Harvard, Cambridge Food Court, and Taman Eden. The use of different venues was designed to create a dynamic competition experience while giving participants enough space to showcase their best abilities.
This year, Ludifest featured six competition categories that represented a wide range of interests and talents: Storytelling, MSE Olympiad, Musabaqah Hifdzil Quran, Carry Your Fantasy, Color Joy, and Musabaqah Syahril Quran (MHQ). The variety of competitions brought together academic skills, art, creativity, and Qur’anic abilities in one event.
TSA Female Advisor, Ustazah Humairoh Fauziah Romli, M.Mat., described Ludifest 2026 as a platform for young people to develop their potential through a positive and creative competition experience.
“We created Ludifest as a space where participants can confidently explore their abilities, express their ideas, and develop their creativity. We hope this experience can build their confidence and encourage them to keep growing,” she said.
The name Ludifest itself is inspired by the word ludic, which means full of fun and high spirit. The event was designed as a competition space that encourages participants to express themselves freely while enjoying the creative process.
The theme The Magic of Fantasy Kingdom gave participants the freedom to explore their imagination and turn their ideas into different forms of creative work.
More than just a competition, Ludifest 2026 became part of TSA Female’s effort to support the growth of young people who are confident enough to explore their potential.
The event also reflected the Open-Minded value within Thursina IIBS’s RECODING Values. This value could be seen in the openness toward different ideas, forms of expression, and individual talents brought together in one competition.
Through this approach, young participants were encouraged not to limit their creativity to a single perspective, but to continue expanding the way they see, think, and create.
Through Ludifest 2026, TSA Female strengthened its role in creating opportunities for young people to grow into creative, confident, and open-minded individuals.
This spirit is in line with Thursina IIBS’s commitment to providing a Holistic & Balanced Education—an educational approach that focuses not only on academic achievement, but also on creativity, character, and the development of each student’s potential. (izz)
