Thursina International Islamic Boarding School (IIBS) continues to strengthen its digital transformation in learning assessment through the launch and workshop of the Thursina Assessment Platform (TAP), held at Hall Harvard on Saturday, August 15, 2026.
The program marks a strategic step toward improving assessment quality while developing a more structured, efficient, and adaptive evaluation system that meets the needs of modern education.
Attended by all Thursina IIBS teachers, the workshop focused on the use of the Computer-Based Test (CBT) feature within TAP. Through the platform, teachers were guided to optimise the preparation and implementation of quizzes and final exams, allowing assessments to be managed through an integrated digital system.
The program coordinator, Ustaz Aziz Tanama, M.Pd., explained that the initiative went beyond simply introducing new technology. Teachers were encouraged to understand TAP as a tool that supports the overall quality of assessment.
“TAP was introduced not simply to turn examinations into a digital format, but as part of our effort to build a more structured assessment system,” explained the Manager of Human Capital Training.
“Through this workshop, teachers are expected to be able to use the CBT feature, upload question sets, and contribute to developing a question bank that can strengthen the quality of learning evaluation at Thursina,” he added.
One of the main outcomes of the workshop was that teachers were able to independently upload quiz and final exam question sets. They were also encouraged to contribute to the development of the TAP question bank, allowing the platform to grow into an academic repository that can enrich Thursina IIBS’s assessment resources.
Meanwhile, Chief of Education at Thursina IIBS, Ustaz Muhammad Rajab, M.Pd.I., highlighted assessment transformation as an important part of strengthening the institution’s academic quality.
“Digital transformation in education should ultimately lead to better quality. TAP is one of our strategic steps to ensure that assessment at Thursina becomes more effective, measurable, and capable of providing useful data for teachers in making learning decisions,” said Ustaz Rajab.
The use of TAP also reflects the Open-Minded value within Thursina IIBS’s RECODING Values: the readiness to embrace new ideas, explore relevant approaches, and continuously develop educational practices in response to changing times. Digital transformation is therefore not treated as an end in itself, but as a tool to strengthen the quality of the academic process.
This initiative forms part of Thursina IIBS’s commitment to providing a Holistic & Balanced Education that remains responsive to technological development. By connecting teacher competence, digital systems, and assessment quality, TAP is expected to provide a sustainable foundation for Elevating Exam Excellence through the Thursina Assessment Platform.
